A potter friend was cleaning out her studio and in the pile was this awkward piece that did not work out the way she intended it to. She had planned it in a lying down position. I took it stood it up, attached it to a piece of plywood, ran a light fixture inside the opening, worked the knotted linen cord around the edge and inserted the skewers. Another friend had a pile of handmade paper scrap throw-aways and I found these crumbled up pieces of colorful paper which I added to the lamp. It all worked out. It is great working with garbage!
